Job Title: Staff Physician Surgeon


Locations: Lagos or Warri, Nigeria


Chevron Nigeria Limited is accepting online applications for the position of Staff Physician Surgeon located in Lagos or Warri, Nigeria

Key Job Responsibilities
1.     Provide day to day surgical care services and call coverage
2.     Develop a minimal access surgical services and endoscopy services
3.     Provide surgical assistance for Obstetrics and Gynecology Operations
4.     Lead surgical Team in Medical division to provide superior surgical services in a safe and controlled condition
5.     Support Occupational health and preventive surgical health
6.     Provide other General Medical services and Emergency medical response
7.     Support the medical leadership in the day to day hospital administration
8.     Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the medical leadership or Medical Director.
Special Skills
1.     Working experience in minimal access surgery and endoscopy
2.     Leadership skills - Must demonstrate ability to lead the Medical Team in patient management and decision making.
3.     IT skills – proficiency in computer use and IT applications especially medical information system is essential
Desirable Skills
1.     Emergency medicine qualifications - BLS, ACLS & ATLS 
2.     Effective communication skills – Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients as well as other Team members as a tool for effective management

Education
FWACS (Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons) or FMCS (Fellow of the Medical College of Surgeon) or Equivalent Specialist Qualification in General Surgery
Experience
•          Five (5) year post fellowship qualification in general surgery

Job Title: Staff Physician Cardiologist

Locations: Lagos or Warri, Nigeria


Chevron Nigeria Limited is accepting online applications for the position of Staff Physician Cardiologist  located in Lagos or Warri, Nigeria
Key Job responsibilities
1.     Provide regular clinical consultations and reviews in general medical duties and ambulatory care for CNL staff and eligible dependants
2.     Provide specialist cardiology services and care and echocardiology services
3.     Provide general and specialised in-patient care as needed and 'on-call' basis
4.     Attend to medical emergencies and call duties on 24 hours basis.
5.     Develop and implement preventive health services for the control and prevention of diseases including health promotion activities.
6.     Organize and coordinate effective training and continuing medical education programs /updates for medical services including safety/clinical meetings; case reports etc.
7.     Assist the staff physician-in-charge in the day-to-day running of the hospital and perform other duties as may be assigned by the staff physician-in-charge
8.     Carry out other duties as may be assigned by medical leadership or medical director
Special skills
1.     Vast skills in echo cardiograph is essential
2.     Clinical skills - Excellent knowledge and skills in specialty case management, competency in handling complex medical problems and in ensuring high standard of clinical practice.
3.     Leadership skills - Must demonstrate ability to lead the Medical Team in patient management and decision making
4.     IT skills – proficiency in computer use and IT applications especially medical information system is essential

Experience
Five (5) years post Fellowship qualification experience in Cardiology in a reputable center with emphasis on preventive cardiology
